It is St George's Day and ex service men from the Royal Sussex Regiment paraded through the streets of Chichester to remember their fallen colleagues.- It is 100 years since St George's Chapel at Chichester Cathedral was dedicated to the memory of the fallen soldiers from the Royal Sussex Regiment,

WHAT USED TO BE, THE ORIGINAL REGIMENTAL DEPOT OF THE
ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT. - 35th of Foot, FOR MANY DECADES.
UPDATE 2022 - The Asylum is now demolished. - In it`s place is "Graylingwell" Residential Village. -- Roussillon Barracks is also demolished except for the Keep & the perimeter wall of Sussex flint. -- In it`s place is the "Roussillon" Residential Housing Estate. -- So the French connection to our Regiment lives on, even today, within the name of this modern estate ! - the bat
